A few weeks ago, we delivered our Optimising your Outcomes course and during the day, we were talking about measuring impact. One of the participants on the course mentioned that they had delivered their impact report at their annual conference and how valuable this was to the audience and to the team. To hear, read and see the impact of their work.

If you are working on your impact report, the chances are you will be singing the praises of your team, how you are meeting your objectives and sharing your financial acumen in working the budget. You may also want to share:

? The outcomes of your work. This can be difficult for many services, you can probably show the number of information emails sent or leaflets sent but it might be harder to show how the information on the leaflet was used. But, if you can create some continuation with your callers, this can provide invaluable evidence of the value of your service.

? What was difficult or didn't work. It is important to acknowledge if you tried a new delivery channel, or tried to reach a different target audience and there were struggles. It is also important to share what you learnt, how you manage change your approach next time or what you did to manage the fall out
